As I was heading home, in a public bus, watching around; I realized & remembered that...

the way to remembering passes through understanding and learning. First you understand and put it in the short-term memory. Then you learn it by repeating it several times. Only after that, you take it into long-term memory, which means you memorize.

Therefore, we can't memorize without learning.

Teachers, instructors, or whoever reading this; don't you ever tell someone to "just memorize something". Teach them at first place and that could eventually lead to memorizing after some repetition.

Just some introduction-to-psychology stuff.
